About
Welcome to Sarita Colonia, a culinary gem located in the vibrant Recoleta district of Santiago, Chile. This spacious restaurant, nestled at Loreto 40, invites diners not just to eat, but to embark on a flavorful journey inspired by Peruvian cuisine. With its unique decor that evokes a sense of history, some say the ambiance feels reminiscent of a serene church, offering a dining experience that is both tranquil and invigorating.
As I stepped into Sarita Colonia, the warm and welcoming environment enveloped me. The friendly staff were quick to greet us, setting the tone for the attentive service I would come to appreciate throughout my meal. The heart of Sarita Colonia lies in its menu, which boasts a selection of dishes bursting with flavor and creativity.
Highlights of the menu include the Pastel de Lomo Saltado, which has garnered rave reviews—described as a perfect 10/10 by one satisfied customer. Another standout is the Tiradito, a vibrant, seafood dish that encapsulates the essence of Peruvian cuisine. I was particularly taken with the creamy mote with pork, a dish that left a lasting impression and is fondly rated an 11/10 by one enthusiastic diner. These dishes showcase the bold flavors characteristic of the region, expertly crafted to tantalize the taste buds.
While the desserts may not have left all diners ’players’ awestruck, they remain a worthy conclusion to the meal, promising a satisfying end to an exceptional dining experience. Coupled with a cocktail menu curated to perfection, each drink is crafted to cater to your preferences, making the beverage selection equally delightful.

“ We looked at the review of this place and chose it based on other’s comments. They were about to close for the afternoon - we were served quickly. We chose Wendy in Thailand and Fried rice and egg. The Wendy in Thailand was excellent - rich curry flavor and tender shrimp. A little pricy - 4 meals - with 4 bottled waters. 1 beer and 1 juice $ 108. I would come back and I would recommend ! ”
“ My wife and I visited for the first time last night! At the earliest reservation time it was quiet and comfortable. The food was exceptional! The Pastel de Choclo had an excellent Peruvian twist and the fish I ordered was cooked to perfection. Gracias al restaurant por el espumante de Cortesia! ”
“ The beef was very good. The side dish less to my liking. The roof level is quite cool as it is open and lets lots of air through. The setting is quite interesting, almost a church. The staff are super friendly and helpful! ”
